With the change of seasons April can be a risky time to plan a beach wedding, even with the glorious summer we have enjoyed on Waiheke Island this year. Indeed one of the main reasons people shy away from the wonderful outdoor locations for their Waiheke wedding is the weather. April_2013_Oneroa_Beach

One way to ensure your Auckland beach wedding can go ahead in your dream location, rain or shine, is under a stretch tent marquee as our recent ceremony for bride and groom Linda and Simon and their 80 guests on Oneroa Beach demonstrates, with both showers and heat to contend with.

With some local insight into the timing of tides, one of our versatile, freeform stretch tents was on the beach to greet the gorgeous bride who arrived in relaxed style by boat and create an intimate, beautiful chapel style space for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests strolled up to Oneroa’s fabulous Oyster Inn for their celebrations.

And just an hour later there was no sign there had been a wedding on the beach at all.April2013_Oneroa_Beach_Shine_web
